Ellie, you are 7 days old today.
Romans 5:3-5New King James Version (NKJV)
3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Ellie, your Godma Xingni showed us this bible verse yesterday. Ellie, let's be hopeful. Always be hopeful for the best. We are believing together with you that you will be made well again. And lead the fullest life ever.
There are many times Mama wants to stop hoping. Many times Mama want to give up on everything. Motherhood is different and being a stay at home mom is a totally different ball game. But ask me again and again, I will do it all over for Ellie and Yuan Yuan. Because both of you are worth every single bit of sweat, hardship. The joy that the both of you brought overflows and bury all my sufferings.
Mama saw a posting on Facebook and thought it is very meaningful:
We must be reminded that children (my Yuan Yuan and Ellie) belongs to God and we (Papa and Mama) are merely His stewards. And all God requires is for His stewards to be faithful. We can sow and invest in our children the best we can. But we cannot control our children's destiny nor the fruits they will bear in life. Because God is the one who brings the harvest in the children.
Baby Ellie, you are in the hands of God. I will walk with you for the rest of my life and love you and care for you the best j know how.
