Dear Ellie, today is 25 Aug 2015 and you are 21 days old. Mama went out to run some errands with Papa today, hence I only manage to visit you late in the afternoon. Ellie was very cranky today and didn't settle down until Sister Susan put you in a facing down position to sleep. Mama forgot to snap a photo! It's exactly the same position as what you can see on the picture taken by Papa yesterday.
Mama chance upon a website which churns out the meaning of names. It could be inaccurate but I thought the website gave a very good interpretation of your name.. WARRIOR PRINCESS.
Papa was the one who thought of your name. Mama wanted to name you Matilda at first. But when Papa suggested Eleanor, we both thought that it was nicer and it rhyme with Theodore. Coincidentally, Theodore Roosevelt has a niece named Eleanor Roosevelt. Mama decided to call you Ellie after the first time Mama visited you at the NICU. Mama thought you were so small and adorable and Ellie sounded cute and very suitable for you.
Yes Ellie, you are indeed a warrior, our little fighter. Mama and Papa will keep on believing in you. And remember that we will never give up on you. You and Gege will always be our precious babies.
