Yesterday we celebrated 中秋节。Mama always forgets the proper name for this festival and would always call it 月饼节 or 灯笼节。The other day we were at Clementi Mall and Yaya asked Mama "what is that?" Pointing at the 月饼 stalls. Mama told you that 灯笼节 is coming soon that's why people are selling 月饼。。。ops.
It was a happy day for us. Very memorable for Mama. We went out for ice-cream in the afternoon as promised as the weather is good (sweltering hot!).
Yaya chose strawberry flavour on a cup again and you finished it very quickly. We goofed around running up and down the slope and went shopping at Poon Huat. We took a long stroll home.
Jie Jie made nice fried noodles and Yaya ate it all by yourself! After Mama puts Mei Mei to nap, we ran to Holland Village to get 2 lanterns. The uncle showed Yaya all the different lanterns and you chose the cellophane rooster lantern. You also insisted that Mei Mei should have the rooster lantern.
And then we walk and ran home. Mama was very happy to do this with you.
Mei Mei had a vomiting episode when we reach home. Nonetheless we still all went downstairs with our lanterns. The neighbours were playing with sparkles at the playground. Yaya started playing with sparkles as well! Mama was so proud of you cos you were very brave handling the sparkles!
Mama hopes that we have more days like this and we always find joy in the little normal things that we do. =)
